About Us

Robert Elliston┬ácommenced work at Kilners Camberwell as a young man training as an Organ Builder where he also learned the art of piano tuning and repair. He started his own organ building business in 1954 and completed organs at various churches. In 1977 he moved into piano tuning as his profession servicing homes, churches, schools and businesses in the Ballarat region. In 1981 he trained his son Peter for six years in all aspects of piano tuning, repairs and restorations. The family business has restored player pianos, reed organs and pianos. Following Robert’s retirement Peter is continuing on the family legacy. His goal is to bring a quality piano service to piano owners throughout the Western suburbs of Melbourne, Geelong and Ballarat.

Shown below are some pictures of Peter with his father Robert at the workshop in Ballarat. This Wertheim is being fully restored and will be a magnificent instrument.
